Reading Armenian Handwritings with AI
Can you imagine machine reading armenian handwriting with AI? We’re excited to announce that now, you can do more than imagine it — you can code it!
PhD Student in Armenian paleography and Computer Vision Chahan Vidal will be leading a learning lab that puts algorithms that read handwritten text (HTR) — both existing and created by you — to the test reading armenian handwriting and manuscripts. During the lab, you will gain basic knowledge of Image Processing and get acquainted with Python Libraries, Deep Learning and the Keras Library for Neural Networks. When finished, your AI project will be able to detect and read even the hardest-to-read Armenian.
Prerequisite: Programming III
The learning lab will take place at TUMO Yerevan, from March 7th to 22nd, Monday to Friday, 3.30-7.30pm.
