Mapping Gyumri with GIS

In Syuneh Arakelyan’s lab, TUMO Gyumri students mapped city’s central market and surrounding neighborhoods using GIS. Students first collected and processed information on the area before plugging it right into the program. It’s already available to the public and is a great resource for anyone interested in the nuances of Gyumri’s streets, from aspiring architects to those discovering the city for the very first time. Follow the link to see the students’ work and learn more about the streets and buildings they mapped. And while you’re at it, download this information from GitHub and pick up where our TUMOians left off.
