Professor of design and dynamic media at Emily Carr University of Art and Design Haig Armen began his Processing Generative Art workshop with the goal of showing his students how to create beauty and art through the use of programming and coding. After getting introduced to the worlds of computer programming and art, the students were able to integrate the two fields to create a surprising and innovative final piece.

Haig a professor and designer living in Vancouver, Canada. For the last 6 years, he has lead the Interaction Design Major at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. His research explores the intersection of design and programming, focusing on data visualization, gestural interfaces, and music technology. Haig has designed interactive work for prestigious clients like CBC, BMW, Chanel, and Nokia.
