How do you brand emotions? Under the tutelage of multi-disciplinary designer Martin Zarian, a group of students at TUMO Yerevan took a stab at representing six universal emotions through branding. Using naming, typography and the study of color and shapes, teens designed brands that describe anger, fear, surprise, happiness, sadness, and disgust. The takeaway was an understanding of the significance of branding in daily life, and how branding can be a powerful and universally understood medium for communicating concepts and ideas.
