The phenakistoscope was the first widely used animation device to create a fluid illusion of motion. In a lab with TUMO workshop leader Shushanik Yesayan, Gyumri TUMOians learned how to use this early animating tool. Using analog techniques, they created phenakistoscopes with their own characters and storylines.
