Animate the Song

When TUMOians at one center make music, TUMOians at another center bring it to life with animation. During the learning lab in Dilijan led by NYU alum and artist Lily Bartin, students animated the music video for Zrangi’s song “The Fish.” They shot, animated, and edited the project using clay, paper, and chalk as part of their creative process.

Along the way, they were introduced to animation fundamentals like anticipation, squash and stretch, and more. They also learned how to build a storyboard and used tools like Stop Motion Studio Pro and After Effects to complete their animation.
