TUMO Studios, Art Director
Are you passionate about craftsmanship and design? TUMO Studios is looking for an Art Director to lead programming and product development for its educational program. The program, an initiative of the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies, focuses on the creation of analog products that combine traditional know-how and contemporary designs. It connects local craftspeople, budding professionals and international designers in atelier settings where they create innovative pieces in areas such as fashion, jewelry, embroidery, pottery, printing, product design and cooking.
As Art Director, you’ll develop programming and steer product development and production. You’ll guide and mentor students and artisans, as well as develop branding strategy and supervise the creation of visual material for TUMO Studios’ website and communication channels.
Qualifications for the role include at least 3 years of experience in product design and development, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. We’re looking for a self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure. Solid knowledge of pre-production, production and manufacturing processes is preferred.
TUMO Center Manager
TUMO is expanding its network of centers and is looking for dynamic and highly motivated professionals to manage them. As Center Manager, you’ll be at the helm of a center ecosystem and foster a hub of learning and discovery for teens.
You’ll be responsible for recruiting and managing staff and managing daily operations and facilities, as well as overseeing student enrollment, implementing and monitoring the TUMO educational program, and interfacing with parents and students. Branch managers routinely liaise with headquarters in Yerevan and initiate strategic partnerships with other organizations and entities.
In this role, you’ll be the local representative of TUMO, our values and pedagogical philosophy. Candidates should have strong leadership qualities, be detail oriented and diplomatic, and have several years of experience running teams and managing customer or stakeholder relations.
Student Results Curator
Year round, thousands of teens are producing results in learning labs and workshops across TUMO centers. The Student Results Curator will be an internal talent scout — discovering their best work and finding optimal ways to showcase it.
You’ll work closely with different departments and centers to get to know students and source their work, as well as research and pilot new ways to share student results with the world — whether online, through exhibitions and events, international competitions and more.
Candidates should have a B.S. or M.S. in Art, Design, Marketing or related fields and excellent knowledge of Armenian and English. We’re looking for a creative professional with experience in art management — including but not limited to — marketing, fundraising, program management, exhibition design and curatorial work.
Scrum Master/Product Manager
Join TUMO’s software product team! They build and maintain a cloud based online learning platform that’s used in TUMO centers around the world. We’re looking for an experienced product manager to join this dynamic team of developers who are passionate about what they do.
In this role, you’ll be both scrum master and product manager for the delivery of in-house applications that support student learning. You’ll prepare sprint content and manage product backlog, as well as deliver bug fixes and new and improved features that incorporate stakeholder and user feedback on time and within budget. You’ll help the team manage and prioritize their tasks by running agile rituals — daily stand up, sprint planning, backlog grooming and retrospectives. You should have working knowledge of DevOps tooling: Azure, Docker, Monitoring. But don’t worry, we’ll teach you if you don’t!
Qualifications for this role include at least 4 years in an agile scrum master or product ownership role, deep knowledge of Agile tools, techniques and culture, and experience with designing product features using wireframe sketches or mock up tools. The right candidate will have a strong eye for managing priorities, experience managing client relationships, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience working in international teams is a plus.
Senior Construction Manager
As TUMO grows, so does its infrastructure. TUMO is hiring a Senior Construction Manager to direct and oversee all construction activity from conception to completion. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a budget, schedule and tracking system for all projects, and assisting in the procurement of materials and services. You’ll supervise the selection and coordination of subcontractors and ensure that all activity is in compliance with building and safety regulations. You’ll initiate and implement best practices, procedures and standards in use internationally.
Candidates should have a B.S. or M.S. in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related fields. They should have extensive experience working in Armenia and abroad and thorough knowledge of project management processes and systems. Requirements include expert knowledge of building products, construction regulations and quality standards, and familiarity with construction management software packages. The ideal candidate has the ability to plan and see the “big picture,” be competent in conflict and crisis management, and have a working knowledge of Armenian and English.
Senior Architectural Project Manager
TUMO is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Architectural Project Manager to lead TUMO projects from the design stage through to construction and completion.
Responsibilities include leading the production of schematic design, design development and construction documents, reviewing documents for quality control evaluations, and ensuring that close-out documentation and project archiving is complete. You will recruit and select contractors and supervise the construction project team through all phases of construction. You will lead in the tendering process and meet with suppliers and vendors. You will coordinate and maintain the project schedule and visit construction sites to perform site inspections and provide recommendations. In this role, you will actively seek and implement new design and construction methods.
Candidates must have an accredited architectural degree and 8+ years of experience as an architectural project manager and all phases of design and construction. Applicants should be able to produce thoroughly coordinated construction documents and have strong knowledge of building codes, construction materials and methods. In this role, you’ll need superior communication skills, the ability to solve problems and think strategically and excellent negotiation and closing skills. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and 3D modeling tools, as well as fluency in Armenian and English is required.
