Michael Aram is an American-Armenian designer who has revolutionized the world of creative metalwork. Aram studied art at Bates College, as well as at the Studio Art Center International in Italy and the University of Florence. His work was strongly impacted by a trip he took to India in 1989. There, he connected with locals to learn metalwork and develop techniques that he would soon be internationally recognized for. Aram’s unique high-end products are sold in specialty stores and galleries worldwide. He produces a wide range of items, from tableware, jewelry, furniture, home decor, and impressive sculptures. Aram has received many awards including Ellis Island Medal of Honor, The EDIDA Award, and New York City’s Museum of Arts and Design Visionary Award.
