Architect Narek Tashdjian and his students at TUMO Dilijan created two seats. They first designed the seats, then created 3d models using Rhino, then cut them out with a CNC machine and finally put them all together by hand.

In December 2015, Russia-based Armenian graphic designer Aram Mirzoyants got his second TUMO experience, only this time at TUMO Dilijan. Aram traveled to Dilijan to teach the local TUMOians all about package design. In three weeks, the students created package designs for local Dilijan products. Using such programs as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, the young designers designed and constructed the full packages for local lemonade, meat, lavash bread, gum, honey and cheese.

TUMO Stepanakert held its first learning lab in November 2015. The Italian war photographer Pier Paolo Cito took on his second learning lab at TUMO (the first being in Dilijan) to share his experience in documentary photography with the teenagers of Nagorno-Karabakh.

A collaborative student project initiated by The Alexia Foundation and Syracuse University, the Family.Life. project explores the feelings, relationships, obstacles and identities of families across the globe.

In March 2016, visual artist Katharina Roters returned to TUMO to run another architecture photography workshop. Bringing her know-how and passion to Gyumri, she was on a mission to teach the local TUMOians the foundations of architecture photography and encourage them to look at their city in a different way. This learning lab resulted in a series of photographs taken by the students which were later featured in the official pavilion of the Armenian Republic at the Venice Architectural Biennale, Independent Landscape.

In 2015, the TUMO partnership with Noyan yielded a new line of packaging whose concept was created by TUMO students. The development of the idea took place over the course of a special two-month long learning lab which consisted of various phases. In the first phase, the students suggested different characters and storylines. From there, illustrator Sara Marie Shaboyan worked with the students to create different types of characters and Moscow-based designer Aram Mirzoyants helped the students make the designs a reality as product packages. The design entered its final stage and was prepared for production in December 2015. From there, the TUMO student-designed juice package appeared on the shelves of Armenian markets and was available for purchase.
